Peter Vacher is the noted author of Hurricane R4118. He was born in London during the Blitz and was educated at Marlborough College. He is an expert at restoring cars and aircraft and has spent time touring India where he has become friends with the Maharajahs. After spending some time living in Australia, where he also learned to fly, he returned to England. He currently owns a Battle of Britain Hurricane and lives in England with his wife Polly and three sons..
