Randall Whitcomb was born in Whitemouth Manitoba and moved to Ontario at age
four.He was an award winning Air Cadet with 167 Air Marshal (Billy) Bishop Squadron, RCAC, and after working as a professional photographer, joined the Canadian air force as a pilot candidate in 1990. Mr. Whitcomb was an accomplished historical aviation artist, with his first editions being commissioned by military squadrons for various commemorative
occasions. After leaving the CF Randall continued to pursue his love of aviation as an artist, author and public speaker.
Accomplished author and talented artist, Randall completed work on his new book "Cold War Tech War: American Eagles vs Avro Aircraft" and it was being prepared for publication when Randall died suddenly on March 18th, 2008 in Tara, Ontario at the age of 44. A memorial service to honour Randy's life was held at Sarawak United Church. Randall's family decided that they would like to see his latest work in print and so his last book is due out in August 2008.
