Dale Sherman began writing about rock music in small-press popular culture
publications fresh out of high-school back in the early 1980s. With his
background in reviewing theatrical bands, Dale moved on to write a
bestselling book about KISS in 1997, BLACK DIAMOND: THE UNAUTHORIZED
BIOGRAPHY OF KISS. This led to a reference guide follow-up, BLACK DIAMOND 2
within the year. 1999 saw the release of the acclaimed ILLUSTRATED COLLECTOR
'S GUIDE TO ALICE COOPER, which first pressings obtained collector's prices
itself in later years. The acclaim for both BLACK DIAMOND and ILLUSTRATED
COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO ALICE COOPER has led to new "Tenth Anniversary"
editions in 2008-2009.
Dale expanded his output with subsequent books on such diverse musical
subjects as the most influential women in rock music, 20th CENTURY ROCK:
WOMEN IN ROCK, and a humorous book about the amazing false legends of rock
with URBAN LEGENDS OF ROCK AND ROLL: YOU NEVER CAN TELL. In addition, a
musical charity novel called A WORLD WITHOUT HEROES earned over $10,000 for
charities in early 2000.
Besides his numerous books, Dale has reviewed several television programs
for the website www.realitynewsonline.com and was the full-time official
website reviewer for Ohio Valley Wrestling; at the time the training-ground
for WWE; from 2001 - 2007. Dale has a MBA from the University of Louisville
and currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and too many pets
while working on another novel amongst other writing projects.
