Jerry Lucky is a broadcaster and music historian with a passion for
adventurous music.
Coming from a musical family Jerry's career in radio started while still in High School when he began working two weekend all-nights on CKOM in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In the mid-seventies Jerry moved into the world of FM radio and created a weekly progressive rock radio program entitled Exposure. It was the constant search for artist background information that eventually led to the creation of The Progressive Rock Files, a book that not only told the history of progressive rock but provided fans of the genre with a bio and discography listing of over 2000 bands and artists.
Looking to explore the roots of progressive rock even further, Jerry then wrote The Psychedelic Rock Files a book that explores the adventurous and exciting world of music that predates the progressive scene but was instrumental in setting the course for its creation. Once again the book was part history and part listing of 700 of the most influential psychedelic artists.
Jerry Lucky is an avid collector of not only music but psychedelic posters as well. He currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with his wife and daughter and an ever growing collection of progressive rock and psychedelic CDs.
